The COVID-19 pandemic was the worst phase that the world has faced in this century. The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a dramatic loss of human life worldwide and presents an unprecedented challenge to public health, food systems and the world of work.
The economic and social disruption caused by the pandemic is devastating, many individual’s, NGO’s, Governments had extended their support and helped people around world with basic needs of Food, Medicine, COVID shelters etc., Govt’s had also announced many schemes and subsidies to tackle and win over COVID 19 pandemic
However when world was trying to help and support human life, economy, trade by providing free food, Grocery, medicines etc., to humans, One section of our society was almost ignored, and those were “poor animals” or in the economic terms called as “Livestock”. We have seen many poor animals such as Cows, Bulls, Horses, Dogs, sheep’s, goats etc. were left on the streets with no care or attention. Those animals which were taken care by the sheltered NGO’s and Individual’s were also in great destress, as there was no sufficient fodder for their survival.
During the pandemic when the world was locked inside the home the volunteers of Golokdham had taken an initiative and freely distributed more than 80 ton fodder to all the street and needy animals specially cows, in and around “Bangalore”, risking their own lives for the service of Mother cows.
This initiative of Free Fodder distribution was supported by “Avon Plastic Pvt. Ltd”, “Maruti Medicals”, Helping Hands (Be Good, Do Good) and many other individuals. We heartily thank all our supporters who have helped us carry out this herculin task with all pleasure in serving our Mother cows.
